We seem to be losing more and more musicians/artists.
RIP William Tambwe-Longs-erving bass guitarist of the Nairobi based Orch Les Mangelepa Band. He composed the group's "Mangelepa Kamili " song.
Tambwe passed on this afternoon (August 28) at the Kenyatta National Hospital in Nairobi
this was from Amos Ngaira, more information coming.

Was he still active with this group (one of the greastest groups ever)?
A huge loss, in any case

Certainly at this rate I'm deeply worried....
. I do not know if the quality of Mangelepa sound will remain the same. Last time I enjoyed their concert (3 months ago) he was playing lead!!! May his soul rest in everlasting perfect peace.

Mkaya, if you're deeply worried, I'm deeply worried.
BYW, do you know if the group has made any recordings in the last couple of years? Their last one was great, even if it totally lacked horns.

William was suffering from Kidney and heart condition. He died on 28th morning and buried on 29th afternoon. He was a muslim but they had to wait for his children from Mombasa that is why it took a day.
Kiamakasa Lokasa Tambwe 'William' has finished his race.
Asilisi mobembo na ye.
@newfan: I will check and let you know of any new recordings. I heard they were preparing a new album...
