He was a great animator back in the 1990s. He has disappeared. I wonder if he lives in Europe. The last I have heard of him was in the early 2000s. I wonder where he is today.

That's true, he is visiblly identified all throughout that album.  Pindi Badilako aka 3615 Code Niawu is still active in the Paris atmosphere, he's not just an atalaku, but also plays the conga and shaker. He started in the band Grand Zaiko de Manuaku.

Lest us not forget he was with Koffi Olomide's Quartier Latin International early on.

He wasn't really featured in Quartier Latin, but was a guest atalaku whenever Koffi had his concerts staged in Paris. He also was part of Wenge Musica Aile Paris (Molangi Ya Malasi; Priorite Soukous).

I stand corrected.

Did Grand Zaiko de Manuaku ever get to release an album or LP?

What happened to it? - leadership problems?

Indeed! Grand Zaiko Wawa released many albums starting from this LP:
1980

The rest of the LPs were posted on this website: http://www.geocities.jp/earthworks1972/lingala/disco/gzw1.htm

Grand Zaiko Wawa crumbled by his musicians relocating to Paris, and other bands while he departed to Switzerland. In 1989, he took part in the workshops of The Lausanne School of Jazz and giving lessons of guitar at Hello Jazz with American saxophonist Robin Kenyatta. He has created a new band.

Soukousman...you confused me.

Is Grand Zaiko de Manuaku the same as Grand Zaiko Wawa?

This is what you wrote - He started in the band Grand Zaiko de Manuaku.

They're the same band. Pepe Manuaku was the creator of the group.
