I wonder what other projects that Michelino was part of besides the obvious of works like Lisanga Ya Bananga (1983) and version 2 (1984) as well as Josky and Ntesa work or some OK Jazz during the 1975-78 period or also the days of Afrisa?

This is what I found:

From 1966 to 1968 he attended the "school Kabasélé." He first joined in 1966, the African Fiesta Sukisa of Nicolas Kassanda says "  Dr Nico  , "one of the greatest guitarists of Congo Kinshasa (DRC) , which has just completed one of his biggest hits, "Olga ". With the maestro, he perfected his talents as songwriter, performer and techniques of his art: the transposition of games and marimba likembé his favorite instrument, the Hawaiian guitar technique, the mid-solo style jazz, rhythm and blues, Cuban sound, the Manding music , etc ... A few months later, he joined the African Fiesta Tabu Ley Rochereau , with whom he represents Zaire (now Congo Kinshasa (DRC) ) to Universal Exposition in Montreal, Canada in 1967, bringing the orchestra throughout its range and its technical rhythmic and melodic sounds including Portuguese.

From 1969, he joined Festival de Maquisards with the formation of vocalists Ntesa Dalienst, Sam Mangwana and Guvano. He composed his first two 45T, "Michita", became his second stage name and "Yambi dear." Desiring always have the good musicians, Tabu Ley uses Guvano Vangu, Bumba Attel (guitar), Ndombe Opetum (voice), Dizzy Mandjeku (guitar), Sam Mangwana , Josky Kiambukuta and Visi Michelino Mavatiku in 1969. Success came in 1971 with the output of "Makfe" and "Cassius Clay" made with Afrisa International. Later, it operates as a songwriter and lead guitar in the TP OK Jazz of Franco (1975/1979), distinguishing himself especially with the title "Salima" from the album 20th Anniversary , affirming its integration into the group.

Michelino participates in the international tour of the African Fiesta with a stage at the Olympia in Paris (1970) where his famous composition, "Moussa" performed by Tabu Ley Rochereau was a huge success. Follow the Festival of Tunis and the Daniel Sorano Theatre in Dakar in 1971. During this show at Senegal , attends the awarding amazed by the late President Leopold Sedar Senghor, the Legion d'Honneur Tabu Ley Rochereau . Their passage Soumbédioune creates the famous tube of his mentor, "Soum Dioum", a corruption of the name of a nightclub and a neighborhood of the Senegalese capital. Following this tour memorable Michelino Mavatiku Visi becomes the lead guitar of Tabu Ley , distinguishing himself with the song "Mongali" (1972). Ten years later, Michelino is associated with Franco and Tabu Ley by the producer Tchica Tchica for concerts in Brussels and Paris and the live recording of the legendary Letter to the Director General .
