Very happy the Board is up and running again!
-
Starting from scratch again Henri but we are back. I think you'll find this board to have a few more added features than the last one..
Though if it doesn't work the way I like I will have someone build a site from the bottom up where we can have choices of different things.
But glad you stuck by Henri missed you too....... :)

Delighted to see the forum return and sad that the seven years of music history, entertainment, and dialogue disappeared in an instant. Let's hope it can be rebuilt better than ever.
-
I'll second all the above. Good to be back!
It's kind of ironic though... children today are taught to be careful with what they post on the internet because "it will remain there forever". But when someone accidentally pulls a plug somehow a 7 years' collective labour of love gets lost. What do you mean, forever?
Oh well... Life goes on. And fortunately, there's still a lot of music to play and to discuss.

Yes it's good to be back, this place is probably more of a "home" for me than the 'other' forum. I'll try to get some more people back on the bandwagon.
-
Shad very happy to have you back in your fold once again.... :)
-
Great to be back !

I also feel happy to be back after such a long absence. I cry for the lost gems..our previous postings

It is good to be back. I was just about to eliminate the link when I checked it one last time ...
But is it really impossible to bring back the old archives?

It really is I resorted to threats being upset and even girlie antics with tears.. :D but no luck all the files everything are gone. it was so disappointing that was a lot of history. but we start again, build up from scratch.....Glad to have you back...... :)

Glad to see the forum back again. A shame for all the lost posts, but what can we do. I guess new posts have to fill in the emptiness... :D
-
...and we will scratch from the start lol, nice to be back...

Great to be back! Board looks good... like Sulemopepe I cried too after hearing about the lost threads, but as always, we come back a united family.

What happened? Combatants?
-
Mkaya,
I think the combattants had everything to with the ruining. I mean the Combattants of Europe. Afterall, I had a very heated discussion with one combattant of belgium about why is wrong to speak about Congolese music. I told him that I am just a music lover, that is all. He and I got into a nasty match and it led to so much anger. So yes I believe the combattants of Europe are the reason why all the good old memories of Africambiance is gone.
Regardless, we are all together for one reason which is the love of African Music.
Mkaya, I am glad you are back. You and I should set a Pepe Kalle festival some time. We both love PEPE KALLE.

What happened? Combatants?
No John call it an over zealous new employee at my host company who deleted the wrong board and all files and back up. I depended on them to keep the back ups as I had over the years.
Unfortunately I can't place blame on the Combattants...Even if I'd like to ;D......It wasn't only AA that was deleted but numerous sites,
needless to say the fellow is no longer employed there.
Glad you are here John.......

Sad. If only he/she knew what was in the board and how long it had taken to build such precious and valuable info on our beloved music. >:( ??? :'(

FPK,
How sweet FPK 8) When I was a boy I had dream of being empire bakuba systems man. In that case I would get the chance to test Pepe Kalle's microphone, and also be nearer the stage in every concert ;D ;D Sadly the dream vanished on 28th Nov 1998. Now here comes Franco Pepe Kalle with a suggestion of setting a Pepe Kalle festival.... who knows the dream may somehow come true.. ;) ;D ;D
Happy new year!!!

This board now has it's own member from Empire Bakuba.... ;D
