I have an album [360.110] and a couple of other tracks: http://www.mediafire.com/file/d04pajh8pw6als9/L%27Afrique%20Danse%20Avec%20Ya%20Tamba%20%5B360.110%5D.zip

Hi Paul.
As I assume, the confusion is great when it comes to Ya Tamba releases. No one knows what it is or who it is.

Same thing at Globalgroovers. Full confusion.

African Music / Orchestre Ya Tamba. Many questions
« Last post by LeFranck on March 23, 2018, 04:42:24 pm »
Another mystic band called Orchestre Ya Tamba. In English it would be Tamba's orchestra.
Worldservice mentioned that Tamba was the producer for MaMaKi. http://wrldsrv.blogspot.ug/2010/05/mamaki.html
Discogs.com has some single releases: https://www.discogs.com/artist/2824687-Ya-Tamba
Was Orchestre Ya Tamba only a side project for MaMaKi?
Had Orchestre Ya Tamba the same members as in MaMaKi?
Who was this producer called Ya Tamba?

Just trying to wrap my head around this. Any help would really be appreciated

With the help from you guys seven tracks has been identified. Leaving us with three tracks, track 4, track 5 and track 6 .
No search gives me a result on "Eyebo" that was the given title on track 5.
Can this so called album be a label release of Melodica CD?
Feeling really happy with the result.

Somehow the link does not lead me  to the songs, so I may not help without listening.

On the Les Noirs, they were was originally based in Congo. Some band members later crossed to Kenya. The lead vocalist in the first song Tchiku, Moreno Batamba, and kalemby Kajos were some of them . They later settled in Kenya.

But there was also another established band called Les Kinoirs  comprising of Samba mapangala and Kasule Mopepe and other who also set their base in Kenya.

That's all I can remember from my young days

I saw my thread again and would like to thank you for the information. FYI the link is still working. I tested it today. I have some other songs and albums that also needs to be identified :-)
